Job Overview
This is a pool from which the College of Health will draw when research technicians are needed to work on sponsored projects. It is a part‑time temporary position based on funding availability. Acceptance into the hiring pool does not constitute an offer of employment.
Responsibilities- Collect and process data for research projects.
- Enter data into computerized spreadsheets and databases.
- Manipulate data to produce charts and graphs that display trends.
- Interpret data results for reporting purposes.
- Work in remote locations, sometimes in extreme conditions.
- Coordinate or lead the activities of other team members.
- Research Technician 1: High school graduation and 6 months’ experience in a field relevant to research, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Research Technician 2: 1 year of relevant college coursework and 1 year’s experience in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Research Technician 3: 2 years of relevant college coursework and 2 years’ experience in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Research Technician 4: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 4 years’ experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
This is a part‑time, non‑exempt temporary position. New hires will be placed on the Temporary Salary Table, and the grade is determined based on education and experience. Because it is a pooled position, applications are reviewed as needed; submission of an application does not guarantee a review or a job offer.
