Travel RN - Operating Room

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a travel contract at an acute care facility in Alaska, requiring robotic surgery experience and an active AK RN license.

Job Details

• Work in the Operating Room of a 152-bed acute care, Magnet-designated hospital in Alaska,

• Day shift position with hours of either 6:45-17:15 or 8:45-19:15 depending on unit needs,

• 4x10-hour shift schedule,

• On-call is required, with weekend assignments based on unit needs,

• Weekend work required (Saturday or Sunday every weekend),

• Floating within scope required to meet facility needs,

• Block schedule availability to be discussed during interview,

• Charting is done in Cerner,

Job Requirements

• Active Alaska (AK) RN license required - pending licenses are not accepted,

• Current BLS certification required,

• Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience required,

• Robotic surgery experience is required,

• Experience with code response, fire safety, malignant hypothermia, electrosurgical units, arthroscopes, and laparoscopes required,

• Some trauma experience required,

• Cerner EMR experience preferred,

• Navy scrubs required; OR scrubs are provided by the facility,

• No RTO restrictions, but all time-off requests must be submitted prior to contract signing - no changes will be accepted after the contract is signed,

• 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years are required for consideration,

• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained is required for consideration,
