Position: Licensed Practical Nurse/Nurse 1/Nurse 2 (PCN 027546)

This position is open to Alaska Residents only

The Anchorage Pioneer Home is recruiting for a multi-class Licensed Practical Nurse/Nurse 1/Nurse 2.

The position will be filled based on the qualifications of the applicant.

These positions are in the General Government Unit (GGU) at range 17 (LPN), range 21 (N1), and range 22 (N2)

The mission of the Division of the Alaska Pioneer Homes is:

“Providing elder Alaskans with a home and community, celebrating life through its final breath.”

This position is a member of an outstanding nursing and direct care staff and plays a vital role in providing person-centered care and support in a safe environment for up to one hundred seventy-seven (177) elder residents.

What you will be doing

Provide high quality care to assisted living home residents in a warm, supportive, and caring manner. This position provides clinical and medication administration to residents and clinical support to the care teams. Focus will be on quality resident care, the growth, development, and empowerment of health care teams, and the promotion of assisted living philosophy and statutes.

The working environment you can expect

This job is in the Anchorage Pioneer Home, an assisted living home at 923 W. 11th Ave in Anchorage, Alaska. It overlooks an area known as the Park Strip with views of the Chugach Mountains easily visible from most floors of the home.

    • This position is in support of the Pioneer Home, which is a 24-hour facility.
    • This Pioneer Home is an Eden Alternative facility, where the environment includes contact with plants, flowers, and pets including cats, dogs, fish and birds.
    • Employees of the Pioneer Home receive continual screening for tuberculosis and criminal history.
