This on-call position is a member of an outstanding nursing and direct care staff at the Anchorage Pioneer Home and plays a vital role in providing care and support in a safe environment for up to one hundred seventy-seven (177) residents.

Provide high quality care to assisted living home residents in a warm, supportive, and caring manner. This position provides clinical and medication administration to residents and clinical support to the care teams. Focus will be on quality resident care, the growth, development, and empowerment of health care teams, and the promotion of assisted living philosophy and statutes.

The Working Environment You Can ExpectThis job is located in the Anchorage Pioneer Home, an assisted living home at 923 W 11th Avenue in Anchorage, Alaska. It overlooks an area known as the Park Strip with views of the Chugach Mountains easily visible from most floors of the home. This position works under the direction of a registered nurse as part of our direct care staff and is responsible for providing assistance and personal care to the residents living in the home.

Position-specific knowledge, skills and abilities that are desired or contribute to the success in this position:
- This position is in support of the Pioneer Home, which is a 24-hour facility.
- This Pioneer Home is an Eden Alternative facility, where the environment includes contact with plants, flowers, and pets including cats, dogs, fish and birds.
- Employees of the Pioneer Home receive continual screening for tuberculosis and criminal history.
