PRN RN House Supervisor opportunity at North Star Behavioral Health. The House Supervisor (RN) is responsible for nursing leadership and coordination of assigned nursing personnel, ensuring the delivery of quality nursing care and serving as a member of the multi-disciplinary treatment team.
Shift: PRN - 12 hour shifts
Key Responsibilities- Leadership in Patient Care:
Lead assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care services, demonstrating clinical expertise and ensuring a therapeutic environment. - Staffing and Coordination:
Ensure efficient staffing based on patient census and acuity, coordinate with the Scheduling Manager, and facilitate admissions and discharges for optimal throughput. - Treatment Plan Oversight:
Monitor patient progress, make recommendations aligned with treatment plans, and address medical/nursing needs to enhance patient care. - Clinical Supervision and Training:
Provide clinical supervision, guide mental health specialists and nurses in patient care, and offer constructive feedback to reinforce desired behaviors. - Emergency Management and Liaison:
Lead in emergencies, escalate concerns to senior administrators, and liaise with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure quality care. - Personnel Management and HR Support:
Manage personnel activities, including staff supervision, orientation, performance evaluations, and employee relations. Assist in HR processes, anticipate staffing needs, and offer proactive solutions.
