Endoscopy RN Job Details

• Shift: 4x10-hour day shifts (07:00 – 17:00)
• Guaranteed
  
  Hours:
  
  70 hours per 2 weeks (traveler may be called off for 1, 10-hour shift per 2 weeks)
• On-Call:
  Every 5th weekend
• Patient Population:
  Neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, geriatrics
• Charting:
  Epic EMR
• Scrubs:

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Alaska RN license preferred; pending license accepted
• Minimum 1 year of recent Endoscopy RN experience
• BLS certification required
• Preferred: ACLS, PALS, SGNA certification
• Proficiency in airway management, bronchoscopy, colonoscopy, EGD, EUS, EBUS, ERCP, ION, and conscious sedation
• Ability to participate in on-call rotation every 5th weekend
• Willingness to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
• Must reside at least 50 miles from facility (no local candidates)
• References:
  Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within the last 3 years

Endoscopy RN Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures in inpatient and outpatient settings
• Assist with and circulate for advanced procedures including EUS, EBUS, ERCP, ION, colonoscopy, bronchoscopy, and EGD
• Monitor and recover patients from conscious sedation and anesthesia
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, respiratory, physical therapy, pharmacy, radiology)
• Ensure accurate specimen handling and labeling
• Maintain patient safety and infection control standards
• Document patient care and procedures using Epic EMR system
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to urgent clinical needs
