RN Position Job Notes:
Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM

• Monday through Friday assignment schedule

• 13-week assignment length with ASAP start date

• Work in 14-bed ICU unit with 8 RNs per shift

• Patient ratios of 2:1 or 1:1 depending on acuity

• Must independently manage intubated patients and titrate pressors

• Experience with EPIC EMR system required

• Work with Alaris IV pumps and other critical care equipment

• Perform typical ICU procedures including intubation, arterial line insertion, chest tube insertion, and central line insertion

• Float to other departments when unit is overstaffed (MOU, CVSU, Ortho, Rehab, or SPCU)

• Navy blue scrubs required

• Required certifications:
Alaska RN License, BLS, ACLS

• Preferred experience with recovering open heart surgery patients less than 12 hours post-op
