• Unit:
Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum (LDRP)

• Assignment Length: 13-week travel nursing contract

• Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (12-hour night shifts)

• Hours per Week: 36

• Estimated Weekly Pay: $$2130

• On Call: 2 shifts per four-week schedule

• Weekend Requirements: 2 weekends per schedule (variable)

• Floating:
May float to Mom-Baby unit as needed

• Scrubs:
Hospital-provided royal blue scrubs
L&D RN Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alaska (permanent AK license required)

• Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience

• OR circulator experience

• AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring or NCC-EFM certification

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification

• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

• Proficient in SVE, IUPC and FSE placement, and newborn transition at delivery

• Flexible, positive, team-oriented, quick learner, accountable, adaptable, and mentor-minded
Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in the LDRP unit

• Assist with inductions, C-sections, vaginal deliveries, D&C, cerclage, versions, and bilateral tubal ligations

• Perform triage, NST, OB injections, OP infusions, and IUFD care

• Operate GE fetal monitors, Panda warmers, IUPC, Kiwi vacuum, Koala IUPC, and Epic/CPN Connect EMR systems

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team including pediatric hospitalists in a Level II NICU environment

• Follow unit protocols for Pitocin, hypertension, postpartum hemorrhage, and malignant hyperthermia

• Float to Mom-Baby unit as needed
