RN Position Job Notes:
Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM

• Monday through Friday assignment

• 13-week assignment length

• Work in 14-bed ICU unit with patient ratios of 2:1 or 1:1

• Must have Alaska RN license for submission

• Required certifications: RN License, BLS, ACLS

• Experience with EPIC EMR system required

• Must be able to independently manage intubated patients and titrate pressors

• Preferred: 1 year experience recovering open heart surgeries less than 12 hours post-op

• Work with Alaris IV pumps and other ICU equipment

• Perform typical ICU procedures including intubation, arterial line insertion, chest tube insertion, and central line insertion

• May float to other departments per union contract when unit is overstaffed (MOU, CVSU, Ortho, Rehab, or SPCU)

• Navy blue scrubs required

• Work alongside 8 RNs per shift with 1 charge RN plus 7-8 staff RNs

This medical center operates a comprehensive 14-bed intensive care unit providing critical care services to patients requiring complex medical interventions. The facility maintains modern equipment and technology including EPIC EMR systems and advanced monitoring capabilities. The ICU specializes in managing critically ill patients including post-operative cardiac surgery patients and those requiring mechanical ventilation and vasoactive medication management.
