Event Custodial ; Evening and Weekend Shifts

The Sullivan Arena is looking for individuals to join our crew in the custodial department.

The Sullivan Arena is a premier venue in Anchorage, hosting a variety of events including concerts, sports, and community gatherings. We're seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our event staff and help create memorable experiences for our guests.

As an Event Custodial Staff Member, you will assist with the cleanliness of the building during events, routine restroom and arena cleaning. This fast‑paced, hands‑on role offers a great opportunity for those looking to gain experience in the events industry.

Our custodial team members are professionals who are a vital part of our business:

• They are responsible for maintaining a clean and healthy facility by completing various tasks.
• This can include mopping & vacuuming floors, disinfecting surfaces and restrooms and emptying trash and recycle cans.
• Clean lockers, storage rooms, entrances, freight area, restrooms, event rooms, floors, admin offices, sidewalks, stairways, walls and windows.
• Restock restrooms, locker rooms, and organize supplies.
• Provide excellent customer service to guests before, during, and after events.
• Ensure routine cleanliness in the arena during events.
• Enforce safety protocols and arena policies.
• Report any issues or hazards to management.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness throughout events.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Previous customer service or event experience preferred.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights.
• Team player with the ability to work under pressure.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background inquiry.

This is a part‑time position primarily based on weekends, offering flexibility for those with other commitments. The starting pay is $17 per hour, with the potential for negotiation based on relevant experience. Ideal for individuals seeking supplemental income or looking to gain experience in the events industry. This position is hourly.
