KOMAN Family of Companie s has a lucrative career opportunity for a seasoned Director of Business Strategy with federal government contracting experience to join the team. The Director of Business Strategy will have a strong focus within the information technology field to lead a revenue generating and digitally focused ANC 8(a) subsidiary. This position will establish company objectives, develop strategic opportunities, and identify company strengths and weaknesses to achieve business opportunities, growth, and financial profitability, in concert with other top management members.
Will align the company's culture and bring a synergy between operations and management which contributes to future sustainability and profitability.

- Develops an inclusive strategic plan to win opportunities for an existing 8(a) company and strategy by collaborating with the leadership team and executives.
- Collaborates with Finance to develop a capital plan in line with the strategy.
- Provides regular pipeline and performance reports to KOMAN leadership.
- Recommends adjustments to strategy, resource allocations, and risk mitigation based on market feedback and results.
- Works with Operations team to ensure program and project execution results in outstanding performance.
- Identifies key capital projects, joint ventures, potential M&A targets, and other strategic partnership opportunities.
- Translates KIMS's 3-year growth strategy into an actionable annual operating plan and capture roadmap.
- Defines and manages KPIs for pipeline, win rates, revenue, margin, and customer satisfaction.
- Leads KIMS's early business development and program efforts as the primary day‑to‑day point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
- Leads all capture efforts across Navy, other DoW components, and select civilian agencies.
- Develops and maintains relationships with PEOs, PMs, CIO shops, innovation units (e.g., DIU, AFWERX), and OTA consortia sponsors.
- Drives opportunity qualification, solution strategy, teaming decisions, and pricing strategy in collaboration with KH approval thresholds.
- Collaborates with leadership, special committees, and consultants to execute strategies.
- Communicates strategy effectively throughout the company.
- Ensures suitable metrics are in place to measure performance and progress.
- Monitors execution of business initiatives.
- Directs long‑range planning staff and activities, and evaluates, plans, and develops organization policies and goals and growth and structural program objectives.
- Establishes company objectives, develops strategic plans, and identifies company strengths and weaknesses in order to achieve business opportunities, growth, and financial profitability, in concert with other top management members.
- Other duties as requested.
- Bachelor's in computer science, Information Technology or related field or equivalent experience is required.
- Master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field is preferred.
- 15 or more years of federal/DoD business development, capture, and program management.
- At least 10 years of management experience leading business development efforts.
- DoW experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success winning and delivering IT, systems integration, analytics, and/or digital sustainment contracts.
- Deep familiarity with 8(a) and ANC contracting, OTAs, IDIQs, GWACs, and federal acquisition processes.
- Strong leadership, communication, and relationship‑building skills; able to operate comfortably at PEO/SES/Flag, congressional staff, and partner executive levels.
- Prior experience with CMMC/NIST 800‑171 environments or cyber‑sensitive programs.
- Background in AI/ML, data engineering, cloud, or digital sustainment solutions.
- Existing relationships within DoW PEOs, NAVWAR, PEO MLB, DIU/AFWERX, or similar organizations.
