Entry Level Network Operations Technician

TEKsystems is seeking a motivated Network Operations Technician to support our Anchorage-based client.

This is a remote‑first opportunity, but candidates must reside in Alaska and be available to work on‑site in Anchorage during the first 3 months of training.

• Monitor and manage network systems to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network issues across Access and Core Transport Networks.
• Respond to outages and coordinate with technical teams to restore service.
• Execute disaster recovery protocols when necessary.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams, vendors, and customers to resolve issues.
• Document network activity and submit timely reports and notifications.
• Follow established protocols and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

• Basic understanding of telecommunications and network infrastructure.
• Familiarity with Cisco devices and Windows OS.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
• High attention to detail and self‑initiative.

CCNA certification (highly preferred but not required).

Hands‑on experience with Cisco device configuration.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
