Job Description

The People & Culture Analyst will be responsible for data management, analysis, and reporting across all HR systems and databases. This role serves as the primary expert user for People & Culture systems, providing support for business readiness and user acceptance testing for new system implementations. The position includes accountability for data entry, validation, and accuracy to inform timely and proactive management decision‑making.

Working under the supervision of the Payroll, Benefits & Analytics Supervisor, this role also acts as a backup ensuring accurate employee data management, while serving as the primary point of contact for employee health and welfare benefits questions.

Responsibilities Data Management and Analytics
  • Champion best practices in data management, overseeing data accuracy processes, usage, goals, and assessment.
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry into all systems and databases.
  • Resolve data conflicts between systems by conducting regular data reconciliations.
  • Analyze, dissect, and interpret people data to inform management decision‑making.
  • Create custom reports in HRIS and iSolved to analyze people data.
  • Maintain existing Excel & Power BI dashboards to display key Business Analytics.
  • Develop deep understanding of organizational structure, roles, interdependencies, and interfaces.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to transform data into critical information for sound business decisions.
  • Generate and maintain HR Action Tracker, monthly dashboards, organizational charts, recruiting reports, and other analytics including diversity hiring, attrition, and local hire metrics.
Systems Expert
  • Serve as the P&C expert user for all systems and master spreadsheet fields.
  • Maintain alignment between Alaska BU utilization of systems and Corporate Center.
  • Create and maintain desk procedures to ensure consistency in all transactions.
  • Act as primary point of contact for Fieldglass inquiries including time adjustments, password resets, and work order processing.
  • Assist with bi‑annual system upgrade testing.
  • Provide training support, coaching, and learning for local business unit end users.
  • Maintain SharePoint & iSolved document repository.
  • Post monthly Organizational Charts and other information to P&C SharePoint site.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Provide exemplary customer service for internal and external customers.
  • Create calendar notifications for new employees and contractors.
  • Send regular new joiner emails to ensure readiness for incoming talent.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date company branding on P&C materials.
  • Participate in role enrichment activities such as preparing recognition letters, developing dashboards, or learning payroll processing.
Skills and Qualifications

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years experience analyzing/interpreting large data sets OR
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources or related field.
Technical Skills
  • Mastery level of MS Office, particularly Excel for reporting functionality.
  • Strong problem‑solving, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to deliver consistently accurate work with minimal errors.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to handle sensitive and confidential employee issues.
  • Adaptability in a dynamic working environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Systematic approach and forward‑thinking mindset.
  • Experience with SAP or Power BI is desirable.
Experience and Knowledge
  • Fully functioning knowledge of general payroll and accounting principles with strong analytical skills.
  • Willingness to learn US payroll laws.
  • Willingness to learn Federal and State wage and hour laws, tax provisions, labor law, and benefit‑related regulations.
  • Experience coordinating back‑end onboarding activities.
