Position PurposeThe Food & Beverage Supervisor assists with the management, direction, and organization of restaurant operations to ensure high standards of food and beverage quality, service, and presentation. This role supports profitability through strong leadership, operational excellence, and an unwavering commitment to outstanding guest service.

- 30% – Train, supervise, counsel, and evaluate restaurant staff associates for efficient operation. Direct staff in their work assignments.
- 20% – Ensure restaurant complies with sanitation and safety standards for guests and associates. Ensure all equipment is in working order and oversee repairs and maintenance of facilities.
- 20% – Manage and monitor product quality and guest satisfaction. Ensure food quality is consistent and prepared to guest specifications. Visually monitor and take corrective action to meet service standards; verify temperatures and taste; investigate and resolve guest complaints promptly.
- 15% – Document inventory forecast usage and monitor supplies so that the restaurant is stocked with necessary items. Oversee setup of dining and service areas.
- 15% – Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and local, state and federal regulations. Maintain regular attendance as required.
- Participate in community public relations for the restaurant and the hotel.
- Attend mandatory meetings including divisional, department and staff meetings.
- Utilize traditional software programs such as Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint and Outlook Express.
- Execute end‑of‑night revenue closeouts including all reports.
- Requisition supplies to maintain adequate stock for shifts.
- On occasion, participate in inventory procedures.
- Open and close shifts according to instructions.
- Handle associate relations, resolving call‑offs, tardiness and daily problems.
- Ensure associates follow correct break procedures.
- Maintain daily logbook communication.
- In emergencies, perform any supervised position if required.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
The hospitality business operates 24‑hour, seven‑day‑a‑week. Hospitality and a hospitable service atmosphere must be projected at all times.
