The State of Alaska, Office of the Long-Term Care Ombudsman (OLTCO) is seeking applicants for an Assistant Long-Term Care Ombudsman position.
The Assistant Long-Term Care Ombudsman position serves as an advocate for older Alaskans in long-term care facilities. The position will be responsible for complaint reviews and investigations of cases affecting elders of Alaska, along with providing training opportunities to administrators and providers. This position also makes unannounced visits to licensed facilities to monitor conditions and provide residents with access to ombudsman services.
The position is a critical part of the OLTCO team and the health and safety of older Alaskans residing in long-term care facilities.
The Office of the Long-Term Care Ombudsman provides essential services to elders living in long-term care facilities across Alaska and is administered by the Alaska Mental Health Trust Authority (Trust), per AS 47.62.010.
