The Substance Use Disorder Therapist provides individual, group, and family therapy to clients with substance use and co-occurring disorders.
Essential duties include conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, facilitating therapy sessions, documenting services, and coordinating care with interdisciplinary teams.
Qualifications require a Master’s degree, active state licensure, and preferably addiction-specific certification. Strong knowledge of evidence-based practices, excellent facilitation and documentation skills, and experience in behavioral health are preferred.
Work involves engaging clients in various settings, with shifts that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays. The role offers full-time, part-time, or temporary positions with a pay range of $30-$35/hour and benefits such as relocation assistance.
