Hope Community Resources, Inc. is a non-profit disabilities service provider based in Anchorage, Alaska. Founded in 1968, our company provides services and supports to people of all ages and abilities who experience an intellectual, developmental, or other disability, traumatic brain injury, or mental health challenge.
As the Travel Direct Support Professional (TDSP), you will provide services to Hope support recipients through the temporary management of an Assisted Living Home and all associate duties within the home. The Travel DSP replaces the permanent live-in for short- or long-term assignments, covering for regularly scheduled days off, extended leave, or when the position is vacant. The Travel DSP may lead a team of direct support employees who work in the home ensuring the implementation of the support plan(s).
KeyPosition Details
- The Travel DSP is cross trained to work in a variety of different homes with support recipients requiring a range of supports or care needs.
- The Travel DSP’s schedule is consistent, but the temporary home assignment varies frequently.
- The ideal candidate has extensive medical and behavioral experience working within the intellectual/developmental disability space.
Schedules may include, but are not limited to: 12 days on, 2 days off (instate) or 1 month on, 1 month off (out-of-state)

Education and Experience- High school diploma or GED required.
- Two years of experience providing direct support services required.
- Experience working with individuals who experience challenging behaviors preferred; one year supervisory or administrative experience preferred.
