Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct therapy services to students under the supervision of a licensed SLP.
  • Target articulation, phonology, language comprehension, fluency, and pragmatic skills.
  • Support implementation of individualized therapy plans and monitor progress.
  • Assist with documentation, data collection, and preparation of therapy materials.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team.
  • Maintain compliance with state regulations and school procedures.
  • Participate in supervision and training as required.
  • Incorporate evidence‑based techniques and activities into therapy sessions.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust therapy plans appropriately.
  • Document therapy sessions, progress reports, and other relevant information accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Provide experience in speech‑language therapy services in a school or pediatric setting.
  • Apply proficiency in assessment tools and therapeutic techniques common in pediatric speech‑language pathology.
  • Show strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
Qualifications
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a Speech‑Language Pathology Assistant program.
  • Active SLPA license or certification in Alaska (or eligibility to obtain).
  • Experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
