Occupational Therapist – School Based

AB Staffing is seeking experienced Occupational Therapists (OT) for the upcoming 2025/2026 school year.

Occupational Therapist (OT) Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy from an accredited college or university
• Must possess or be eligible for an Occupational Therapist License in the State of Alaska
• At least one year of relevant work experience in a school and/or pediatric setting(s) preferred
• BLS/CPR Certification

Job Description:

Caseload and position details, including classroom type, will vary based on school location. Recruitment specialists will discuss specifics upon application to connect you with the classroom best suited to your experience and skillset. This contract runs through the 2025/2026 school year, offering 37.5 to 40 hours per week, following the academic district calendar.

Occupational Therapist (OT) Duties:

• Evaluate patients through observation, standardized tests, and listening to concerns to create individualized care plans
• Provide competent care, including exercises, stretching, equipment, modalities, and hands-on therapy to manage pain, improve mobility, and prevent injury
• Build positive relationships with patients and motivate them to achieve their goals
• Communicate patient information with the rehab team, physicians, and other disciplines to ensure continuity of care
• Document all patient care according to department policies
• Maintain a safe and clean environment by following procedures, rules, and infection-control policies

Salary:

$2,082.00 – $2,162.50/week
