Summary of
Job Responsibilities:
The Southcentral Foundation (SCF) Senior Physical/Occupational Therapist (Senior PT/OT) is responsible for providing physical or occupational therapy services to customer-owners and for providing consultative services to providers within the medical system and throughout the state, including independent living facilities, assisted living homes, and private residential homes.
The Senior PT/OT is responsible for providing direct clinical customer-owner care and for providing mentorship and acting as a resource for the therapy team. The Senior PT/OT develops programs to resolve complex clinical issues, collaborates with other interdisciplinary health care personnel to resolve customer-owner related issues, and provides mentorship and acting as a resource for the therapy team.
Qualifications:
SCF programs are established to serve a primary population comprised of Alaska Native people who are affiliated with Cook Inlet Region, Inc. (CIRI) and Alaska Native and American Indian people within SCF’s geographical service area. Employees should have a thorough understanding of the cultures and the needs of this population. Such knowledge is critical to ensure the achievement of SCF’s vision of a Native Community that enjoys physical, mental, emotional and spiritual wellness, and the mission of working together with the Native Community to achieve wellness through health and related services.
- Licensed as a Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist in the State of Alaska.
- Two (2) years of experience as a Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist; OR demonstrated proficiency as a Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist at SCF.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. ACLS, NRP, ATLS, ALSO and PALS as required for specialty and any certification relating to the scope of practice as required.

Jobs designated as a Health Care Personnel (HCP) position requires that you have documentation that you have completed the following immunizations prior to your first day of employment: MMR (Measles, Mumps and Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Hepatitis B, Influenza, T-dap (Tetanus - Diphtheria - Pertussis) and Covid-19 vaccine.
