Rheumatology Clinic Manager, OPA University Lake Building, Full-Time

Reports To: Rheumatology Director
Location: Multiple Sites Across Alaska (Anchorage, Wasilla, Soldotna) primarily based in Anchorage

Position Summary

The Rheumatology Clinic Manager is responsible for the day‐to‐day oversight of clinic operations across multiple locations. This role ensures efficient workflows, high‑quality patient care, and compliance with organizational standards. The manager will lead and support the Medical Assistant team and Infusion Nurse team, while also serving as a clinical resource when needed. In addition to operational leadership, this position partners with the Rheumatology Director on strategic initiatives, including management of the in‑office dispensary and bone health program.

Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership
  • Oversee daily clinic operations to ensure smooth patient flow and adherence to protocols.
  • Lead, mentor, and evaluate Medical Assistants and Infusion Nurses, fostering a collaborative and high‑performing team culture.
  • Monitor staffing levels and assist with scheduling to maintain adequate coverage across sites.
  • Serve as a clinical resource and provide hands‑on support when necessary.
Strategic & Program Oversight
  • Collaborate with the Rheumatology Director on strategic projects and growth initiatives.
  • Provide operational oversight for the in‑office dispensary, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Manage and support the bone health program, including coordination of services and patient education.
  • Assist with implementation of quality improvement initiatives and performance metrics.
Multi‑Site Coordination
  • Support operations across multiple clinic locations within Alaska.
  • Ensure consistency in workflows, policies, and patient experience across sites.
  • Travel between locations as needed for oversight and team support.
Qualifications
  • Education: Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) preferred; other clinical backgrounds considered.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting.
    • Prior leadership or management experience strongly preferred.
    • Rheumatology or infusion experience is a plus.
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership and team‑building abilities.
    • Excellent organizational and problem‑solving skills.
    • Ability to balance hands‑on clinical support with high‑level operational oversight.
    • Proficiency in EMR systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Additional Requirements
  • Ability to travel between multiple clinic sites within Alaska.
  • Commitment to patient‑centered care and continuous improvement.
