Advanced Physical Therapy seeks a dedicated Pelvic Health Physical Therapist to provide exceptional care to patients in Anchorage, AK. The therapist will independently evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, deliver care, supervise support staff, and ensure documentation and compliance standards are met.
Duties and Responsibilities- Evaluate patient dysfunctions and limitations to develop an effective plan of care.
- Utilize safe and effective treatment methods to meet functional/measurable goals.
- Modify treatment plans to progress patients toward goals and discharge criteria.
- Delegate tasks appropriately to support staff and supervise their performance.
- Document patient care in compliance with regulations and internal policies.
- Participate in formal and informal clinical teaching.
- Communicate relevant patient care information to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Postgraduate degree in physical therapy from an accredited institution.
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Alaska.
- Experience or strong interest in pelvic health physical therapy.
- Effective time management and timely documentation of all patient interactions.
- Ability to maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
- Strong communication skills with patients, physicians, and colleagues.
- Consistent attendance and punctuality.
- Plan, conduct, and evaluate therapy treatment/intervention programs.
- Interpret physician referrals and determine appropriate evaluation procedures.
- Recommend standardized treatments or interventions based on clinical indications.
- Conduct assessments for neuromuscular control, coordination, balance, and ambulation.
- Update treatment plans and set short-and long-term goals in collaboration with the care team.
- Educate patients on interventions, risks, benefits, and alternatives.
- Reassess patient progress every 6-8 visits or as needed.
- Discharge patients when goals are met and ensure appropriate follow-up/referrals.
- Supervise and train therapy assistants and aides in patient care.
- Provide education on injury prevention, ergonomics, and overall health promotion.
Salary: $95,000 – $110,000 DOE.
