BASE SALARY INFORMATIONCommercial Vehicle Compliance Inspector 1 - $24.99 / hourly
Commercial Vehicle Compliance Inspector 2 - $28.50 / hourly
What you will be doing:As a Commercial Vehicle Compliance Inspector, you will work with motor carriers to perform safety inspections on commercial vehicles and their drivers to ensure safety on Alaska’s roadways. Your work will make a difference by leading to a reduction in crash fatalities. You will also preserve roads and bridges through size and weight compliance by weighing and measuring commercial vehicles; your ability to identify unsafe vehicles based on federal and state regulations will allow you to take appropriate enforcement action including issuing citations.

The working environment you can expect:This position is based at an Anchorage fixed weigh station with potential to travel to various roadside locations throughout the state. Various shifts available.
