Project Engineer / Pavement Engineer
Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc.
Base pay: $90,000.00/yr - $/yr
Location:
Anchorage, AK
- Oversee construction management of ongoing civil construction projects for airfield runway improvements / pavement resurfacing.
- Review contractor’s Quality Assurance Plan.
- Oversee and perform three-phase inspections and surveillance of construction work to ensure compliance with contract and specifications.
- Review of design, comment logging and back-checking for Design‑Build projects.
- Monitor submittals utilizing a submittal status log.
- Review and comment on the accuracy of the construction contractor’s requests for payment.
- Review and acknowledge daily reports, including verification of the project schedule by indicating the activities worked on that day and those behind schedule.
- Maintain orderly working files for correspondence, minutes of meetings and conferences, payments, updated progress schedules, monthly progress reports, punch lists, field changes.
- Review and process Requests for Information (RFI), and contract documents including amendments, notices to proceed, change orders, modifications, and other locally generated documents during construction.
- Support construction contract modifications.
- Perform critical path schedule review.
- Must be a U.S. citizen and pass a federal background review and drug screen.
- 7+ years of engineering and construction management experience.
- Experience with construction administration and the capability of handling large civil works projects.
- Bachelor of Science (required).
- Knowledge/experience in airfield runway improvements and/or pavement resurfacing.
- U.S. Army Corps of Engineers or other federal project experience (preferred).
- Experience with Resident Management System (RMS 3.0) (preferred).
- Experience reading construction plans and specifications.
- Good written communication and organizational skills.
