Designer – Architecture

GHD is looking for a Designer‑Architect to join our Guam office. You will be a valued teammate, serving clients and strengthening our commitment to the local community in Hawaii. Responsibilities include evaluation, design, and implementation of new buildings and alterations across commercial, industrial, hospitality, healthcare, and federal sectors, taking on various leadership roles.

• Architectural Design:
  Produce multiple architectural concepts and prototypes, design the feasibility testing approach, and supervise its implementation.
• Engineering Drawings:
  Create engineering drawings to support communication, evaluation, and implementation of engineering solutions.
• Engineering Solutions Design:
  Contribute to development and feasibility testing of proposed engineering solutions to provide feedback and data for validation.
• Building Information Modeling (BIM):
  Install, operate, and maintain a BIM system; participate in measurements, and compile and update building/construction data and records.
• Construction Advice:
  Provide professional advice on construction regulations and best practices for maintenance, alteration, and construction of buildings.
• Building Surveys:
  Undertake building and technical surveys to determine condition, identify defects, and assess associated risks.
• Personal Capability Building:
  Develop own capabilities through assessment, development planning, training, coaching, and maintaining external professional accreditation where relevant.
• Feasibility Studies:
  Conduct technological and organizational feasibility studies, documenting findings to complete cost‑benefit analyses on implementing changes.
• Bid Solicitation/Request for Proposal/Tender Analysis:
  Analyze bid solicitation project requirements and assess feasibility information.
• Client & Customer Management (External):
  Assist senior colleagues in managing client and customer relationships using relevant systems.

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or an equivalent level is preferred but not required.

• Minimum 3‑10 years of documented experience.
