Leadership and Technical Opportunities in HDR’s Coastal Engineering Program
Employee-owned HDR is seeking qualified individuals to provide project, geographic, and technical leadership in our growing coastal engineering and restoration program.
Our portfolio of award-winning coastal projects shows the depth and breadth of our team’s expertise across the broader interdisciplinary markets of architecture, federal, transportation, and water resources. HDR is ranked #5 in ENR's 2025 Top Water Design Firm rankings.
Responsibilities- Perform analysis and design of coastal restoration projects, including marsh restoration and beach nourishment.
- Lead shoreline protection projects such as revetments and breakwaters.
- Manage navigation projects, including dredging, marinas, and harbors.
- Create plans, specifications, and oversee project management.
- Strong background in wave growth and transformation, coastal and estuarine hydrodynamics, littoral processes, sediment transport, marine dredging.
- Experience with basic geotechnical or structural systems.
- Proficiency in creating plans and project specifications.
