Role Overview
TRIO Programs is dedicated to student success and assisting students in navigating college. TRIO is hiring dedicated students to serve as Team Leaders during the summer (early May - early July 2026), with the potential to continue part‑time during the academic year. TRIO Team Leaders must be self‑motivated, work well independently and as part of a team, have great social skills, and be comfortable working with a diverse student population.
ResponsibilitiesTRIO summer programming is designed to provide high school students and first‑time freshmen with the necessary skills and support to successfully transition into college e students will complete 1–2 college courses with a cohort of their peers and the support of Team Leaders during the first half of the summer.
Team Leaders help students identify and access UAA resources, provide academic support, develop and implement extra‑curricular activities, model successful student behaviors, and provide group and individual coaching and support.
Preferred Experience- Completed 60 college credits or more
- Current TRIO Student Support Services Student or student with a similar background to Summer Bridge students (first‑generation college student and/or Pell‑eligible)
- Have completed a previous Summer Bridge or similar program
- Have previous experience as a tutor, program leader, Team Leaders, or similar
- Completed a minimum of 30 undergraduate credits, including WRTG A111 and MATH A151 (or their equivalents)
- Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction. Applicants requiring visa sponsorship are not eligible.
Position DetailsThis position is located on the University of Alaska Anchorage campus in Anchorage, Alaska. It is a full‑time student‑worker position from May 4 to June 26, 2026. Pay is $18 to $20 per hour.
This is a pooled position and applications are reviewed as needed. Submission of an application does not guarantee review or a job offer.
