Universal Teller delivers consistent and exceptional customer service through processing various types of customer transactions promptly and efficiently while adhering to defined cash limits, bank policy and procedures, and banking regulations.

Salary: $19.50/hour minimum. Job/salary offer will be commensurate with experience.

Part-Time, Monday‑Saturday

Responsible for delivering consistent and exceptional customer service by processing transactions promptly and efficiently while adhering to cash limits and bank policy. The position actively learns about bank products and services and promotes them to meet customer banking needs. Expected to maintain a balanced cash drawer, build customer relationships, and embrace the bank’s vision to enhance the customer experience.

• Provides consistent and exceptional service that enhances customer interactions through genuine desire to assist and contributes to overall branch experience.
• Maintains comprehensive knowledge of all consumer products and services and engages customers in conversations about banking needs to identify cross‑sell opportunities.
• Accurately processes all financial transactions following established procedures.
• Maintains and balances cash and coin supply within defined accuracy standards; replenishes and balances Cash Recyclers and ATMs.
• Processes lines of credit advances, customer cash shipments and wire transfer requests.
• Scans and balances proof work throughout the day and adheres to Branch Capture Schedule.
• Abides by First National Bank Alaska policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements; completes mandatory compliance training.
• Performs other work‑related duties as assigned by supervisor.

• Stay up to date on relevant laws and regulations and complete all compliance training on time.
• Knowledgeable of and comply with bank policies, procedures, laws, and regulations that apply to your job.
• Maintain customer confidence and protect the bank’s operations by identifying and protecting confidential information.

• 6 months Teller experience or one year customer service plus 6 months cash handling experience. Preferred: FNBA experience.
• Knowledge of personal computer operation, keyboard 35 wpm, 10‑key calculator and general office machine use.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with discretion and good judgment when communicating with internal and external customers and all levels of management.
• Unquestionable integrity and ethics and ability to maintain confidentiality handling sensitive information.
• Ability to read, write, and interpret documents, speak effectively with customers, and perform basic mathematical and reasoning skills.

Frequent lifting up to 25 pounds; occasional lifting up to 50 pounds; regular required sitting, talking, hearing, and occasional standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
