GCI's Technical Accountant will support the organization’s financial reporting and technical accounting functions by researching complex accounting matters, documenting technical conclusions, and assisting in the preparation of internal and external financial reports. This role ensures compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) regulations, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
The position plays a key role in supporting quarterly and annual financial reporting processes, monitoring revenue recognition compliance under ASC 606, assisting with external audits, and supporting the administration and accounting of the company’s equity compensation plans. The Technical Accounting Analyst works closely with internal accounting teams, external auditors, and regulatory stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting and regulatory compliance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Technical Accounting Research & Compliance
Research applicable literature and write technical accounting memos on complex accounting issues.
Monitor the company contracts to ensure compliance with ASC 606 revenue recognition.
