Driver - CDL; B

Position Summary:

A Driver‑CDL (B) is responsible for safely operating a collection truck and providing prompt, courteous and complete waste removal services for customers. The Driver must ensure their vehicle complies with the Company’s safety standards, adhere to all Company, state, and federal regulations, and complete vehicle condition reports (VCRs) daily to address defects promptly.

• Perform pre‑ and post‑operation inspections to ensure tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls are functional; report any safety issues on standard reports.
• Safely operate the heavy truck along the assigned route and to the disposal site; read the route sheet and service each customer according to the sheet or dispatcher/supervisor assignment.
• Operate manual or automatic controls in accordance with safety policies to lift, load refuse, use the compactor, and dispose of material at the designated facility.
• Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers and others to ensure routes are serviced timely and professionally.
• Identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag them per departmental procedures.
• Continuously monitor waste for evidence of unacceptable material.
• Clean any accidental waste spill, following safety standards and policies.
• Maintain vehicle readiness to minimize downtime; clean waste from the packer blade and truck body on each disposal trip.
• Complete required route, productivity sheets, VCRs and other reports.
• Adhere to productivity standards to serve all customers efficiently.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Participate in the Company’s ReSOP program.
• Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.
• Exhibit good customer service skills, professionalism, courtesy, and cooperation toward customers and co‑workers.
• Manage time effectively to complete responsibilities safely and efficiently.
• Follow through on challenges and adhere to the work schedule.
• Promote the Company’s safety standards and avoid inappropriate risks.
• Take pride in work and strive to achieve all goals.

• Class B Commercial Driver’s license with air‑brakes endorsement.
