Overview
Summary
Provide strength and conditioning services for elite athletes and coaches as a member of the Applied Sciences within Olympic Sport Performance. Responsibilities will include scheduling teams, athletes, and camps; assisting with strength and conditioning, testing and all protocols; assisting with developmental and national training; and assisting with the implementation of periodization plans for athletes and teams.

Duties & ResponsibilitiesEducation
Master’s degree (or pursuing a master’s degree) in exercise science or related field
Licensure & Certification:
Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) – National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA)
Registered Strength and Conditioning Coach (RSCC) through NSCA preferred
Specialized certification in USA Weightlifting preferred
Current CPR/First Aid Certification
Experience:
2+ years of strength and conditioning post-graduate experience
2+ years of experience with current performance science assessment systems
2+ years of experience in developing and adapting periodized physical development programs
2+ years of experience working with high caliber athletes
2+ years of experience working in team sports setting
Skills:
Ability to effectively teach and demonstrate proper exercise technique in resistance and speed development, specifically, the ability to effectively execute Olympic Weightlifting exercises
The capacity to work well in team environments with representatives from a wide range of ethic and social backgrounds
Excellent organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to effectively present to groups of varying sizes
Ability to work in fast-paced multidisciplinary team environment
Ability to read and interpret scientific literature
Tools, Equipment, & Conditions
Strength and conditioning facility and equipment
Must be able to lift up to 50 kilograms several times a day
Must be able to lift up to 25 kilograms overhead or at least 6 feet high several times a day
Standard office equipment
Microsoft Applications:
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
Indoor and outdoor training and testing environment
Prolonged standing and physical activity
Non-traditional work hours, including early morning, late evening, weekends, holidays, and extended hours
Regular attendance at work is an essential job function
