We are seeking a highly motivated, sales‑driven leader to serve as Assistant Fitness Manager (Personal Training Sales). In this role you will conduct welcome workouts with new members, guide them through their initial gym experience, and help them start a personal training program. Reporting to the Fitness Manager, you will drive personal training sales and foster member relationships, working closely with membership and personal‑training teams to sell training packages and deliver exceptional service.
PositionPurpose
Build a cohesive Personal Training (PT) team, maintain a healthy pipeline of clients, and ensure all clients and members receive an outstanding fitness experience.
Responsibilities- Ensure daily targets are met, particularly during weekends or when the Fitness Manager is absent, by leading the team and driving sales initiatives.
- Drive sales by promoting personal training packages and building strong rapport with members.
- Achieve sales targets for personal training services and small‑group training sessions, consistently meeting or exceeding performance goals.
- Collaborate with the membership sales team to support new member onboarding, driving sales initiatives, and ensuring a smooth transition into the club experience.
- Conduct personalized welcome workouts for new members to evaluate their fitness needs and goals.
- Guide new members through their initial club experience, fostering a positive, supportive environment that promotes personal training sales, member retention, and engagement.
- Facilitate professional development for personal trainers through regular coaching sessions and continuous support.
- Effectively communicate goals, expectations, and procedures to staff, ensuring everyone understands their roles and responsibilities.
- Supervise the maintenance and cleanliness of the facility, including equipment, locker rooms, and common areas.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintain proper certifications, and implement safety protocols.
- 2‑3 years of customer service experience.
- 1 year of sales experience.
- 1 year of supervisory experience.
- Prior experience or strong interest in the fitness industry.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with members, clients, staff, management, and vendors.
- Excellent relationship‑building and influencing skills at all levels.
- Strong detail orientation; systematic and thorough approach to problem solving; good time management, organizational, and record‑keeping skills.
- Excellent MS Office skills.
- Experience or interest in the fitness industry is a plus.

- Must be available to work nights and weekends.
- Must successfully pass a background check.
- Must have a valid Personal Training certification.
- CPR certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Ability to work in a gym setting, move around gym floors and rooms, and communicate effectively with employees, members, and the public.
- Ability to bend routinely and repetitively to lift more than 40 lbs.
- Ability to access and operate the company computer system, including preparing documents, entering data, and reading reports.
