Senior Software Engineer

Senior Software Engineer, Alteryx, Inc., Irvine, CA.

Build end-to-end applications and tools to enable customers and internal developers to use and scale our platform and its applications. Responsible for technical configuration, design, administration, development, implementation, deployment, and support of application and administrative frameworks that data analysis products utilize. Focus on user management and expanding the availability of new products. Collaborate with product, design, and other internal stakeholders to identify and build the core infrastructure our customers need.

Write efficient code, design services and components. Work as part of a team that builds end-to-end functionality. Collaborate with designers and architects to implement solutions to cloud-based data transformation and analytics problems. Build the platform that facilitates connecting to and working with data. Communicate with quality assurance, product management, user experience, and other teams such as Dev Ops, Security, IT to coordinate work efforts.

Ensure quality at all levels of product development.

Telecommuting permitted 100% - may live anywhere in the U.S.

40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m.

- 5:30 p.m. $ – /yr.

Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, plus 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in systems design and development. Alternatively, will accept Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field plus 3 years of experience in Systems design and development.

Of the required experience, must have at least 3 years of experience in each of the following (which may be gained concurrently):

• Using database products including Postgre
  
  SQL, Oracle, and Mongo
  
  DB;
• Git;
• REST;
• Agile and Scrum; and
• Programming experience in Python, Golang, or Scala.

Of the required experience, must have at least 3 years of experience in at least one of the following JAVA/J2EE Technologies:

• Servlets;
• JSP;
• JDBC;
• EJB;
• JPA; or
• Multi-threading.

Of the required experience, must have at least 3 years of experience working with at least one of the following frameworks:

• Spring;
• EJB;
• Hibernate;
• Angular
  
  JS;
• ExtJS; or
• Apache Camel.

Of the required experience, must have at least 3 years of experience in each of the following (which may be gained concurrently):

• Working with automated CI/CD platforms;
• Maven;
• Working with Cloud environments, including AWS; and
• Utilizing testing technologies/tools, including Junit, Mockito and Jasmine.
