Whatdo our Aquatic Technicians do?
The primary purpose for this role is preserving the natural ecological balance of our aquatic ecosystems while providing our clients with superior value and expertise in the field. Aquatic Technicians play a key role in preserving our environment. When these technicians service aquatics it helps to ensure the health of the water and the safety of those who use it.
Responsibilities- Operate a motorboat multiple times throughout the day and attach to assigned vehicle
- Treat water for algae, submersed weeds, shoreline weeds, non-desirable buffer vegetation and any other unwanted vegetation
- At times obtain water samples to send to the lab for water quality analysis
- Provide superior service and fulfil all company contracts, service orders, and related customer needs
- Remove nuisance, invasive vegetation through manual removal efforts (occasionally)
- Work with experienced Aquatic Specialists in the field to gain knowledge on servicing aspects of water body management
- Great communication skills to discuss the service effectively with customers
- Ability to follow established procedures and practices
- Commitment to all health and safety guidelines
- Effective verbal and listening communication skills
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Mechanically inclined (preferred)
- Ability to operate trailers and aquatic vessels (preferred)
- Knowledge of aquatic vegetation (preferred)
- The work requires strenuous physical exertion and the employee may be required to drive, stand, walk, bend, climb, kneel, and crouch for extended periods of time, as well as see, talk, hear and use hands and arms to grasp, handle, reach, and feel
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-2 years of experience working independently in an outdoor environment (preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Available to work Monday-Friday and weekends as needed
- Must possess a valid driver's license from state of residence
- Mostly outside (without protection from weather; extreme heat-above 100° and/or cold-below 32° for more than one hour) environmental conditions
- Hazardous physical conditions, such as mechanical parts, vehicles, electrical current, heights and scaffolding, chemical exposure, and/or high heat
- Atmospheric conditions may affect the respiratory system of the skin, such as fumes, mold, mist, gas, poor ventilation
- Exposure to animals and insects
- Meet physical requirements and/or pass medical certification in compliance with state and/or federal regulatory requirements and company safety policies relating to carrying and wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), including but not limited to an OSHA compliant respirator
Hourly: $17.00 - $27.00

Employees in this position perform work within customer's residences, property, and places of business often unsupervised and with access to vulnerable populations. They may have access to company and customer's records including personal identifiable information, financial records, make financial quotes and commitments on behalf of the company, use, handle, and have access to regulated chemicals that could cause harm to humans or the environment if used inappropriately.
They work closely with other colleagues, vendors and/or customers and must be able to resolve conflicts and disputes in a non-violent and non-disruptive manner. They may drive a company vehicle as a primary duty and must safely operate a vehicle on the public streets, and receive company equipment to perform work.
