This is an entry‑level opportunity for an individual looking to jump‑start a career in HVAC. NAS employees are our most important assets; they are productive, challenged, well trained, promoted, and well compensated.
Duties- Assist with on‑site preventative maintenance, routine repair, and calibration after installation
- Use technical abilities to maintain systems
- Work in a team‑based environment to share information and workload while ensuring customer satisfaction
- Maintain a safe working environment, ensuring all safety measures are taken at all times
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Maintain flexibility to work overtime and weekends as required
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- HVAC trade school graduate strongly preferred (3.5 GPA and excellent attendance)
- 1+ years in a mechanical support role; some hands‑on HVAC experience preferred
- EPA Certification – Type I & Type II or Universal Preferred
- NATE certification a plus
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Ability to climb ladders
- Moderate lifting (up to 90 pounds)
- Technical aptitude to perform maintenance, service, and troubleshoot equipment
- Excellent customer service skills
- Good electrical and mechanical diagnostic skills
- Ability to complete repairs and required paperwork
- Ability to work independently and self‑schedule
- Self‑motivated to complete assigned tasks within time constraints
- Driven to succeed and able to work with minimum supervision
- Availability for weekend and night work occasionally
- Willingness to relocate to another part of the country once training is completed
- Local travel may be required
- Get to the rooftop via fixed/extension ladder
- Work at heights
- Load and unload tools/equipment from work van
- Lift up to 75 lbs occasionally
- Lifting to shoulder and overhead up to 25 lbs occasionally
- Push/pull wheeled cart up to 150 lbs
- Climb ladder to roof height
- Extend reach overhead in a repetitive motion
This is an hourly non‑exempt role. The salary range is $33,000 – $42,000 annually, based on geography/market and the successful candidate’s tenure, performance, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications. Employees are not eligible for a bonus but do earn overtime when they work more than 40 hours in a week (or as required by state law).
