Sales Assistant

The Sales Assistant is an entry level position. A Sales Assistant will assist the Senior Event Manager to organize and execute special events such as corporate receptions, weddings, birthday parties, anniversaries, or any special affair our clients desire.

Our Event Coordinators’ goal is to have every Canyon Catering client saying;
"You Only Live Once, Let’s Party!"

• Accompany the Senior Event Coordinator at meetings with clients to determine the type of party they would like to host, and the budget they have to work with.
• Schedule in‑house meetings and tastings.
• Communicate with clients and members of various department teams.
• Place orders for rentals or special items needed to execute the client’s event.
• Create and send event‑marketing communication via email.
• Order and manage the delivery of event supplies.
• Assist the Senior Event Coordinators with the responsibilities for planning an epic party, from entering the menu proposals to booking vendors.
• Show familiarity with Caterease Event Planning and Microsoft Office applications.
• Maintain a great smile, positive energy, and a “can do” attitude.
• Be intuitive to the needs of clients, and double‑check orders.
• Have a background in full‑service restaurant operations and familiarity with food pairings/accompaniments (plus).

Most off‑site staff positions are part‑time on‑call with most event work being evenings and weekends. Events are located at private homes, venues, and some unusual locations.
