PositionPrep Cook (Part-Time)
THE RANCH Restaurant is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Prep Cook to join our culinary team. This role is essential to the daily success of our kitchen operations, supporting chefs by preparing high-quality ingredients and maintaining a clean, organized workspace. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, a passion for food, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-end dining environment.
Responsibilities- Prepare ingredients for service, including chopping vegetables, portioning proteins, preparing sauces, stocks, and dressings
- Follow recipes, prep lists, and instructions from chefs accurately and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of prep areas, walk-ins, and storage areas
- Properly label, date, and store food according to health and safety standards
- Assist with receiving and rotating inventory (FIFO)
- Support line cooks and chefs during service as needed
- Comply with all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety regulations
- Maintain consistent quality and presentation standards
- Previous prep cook or kitchen experience preferred
- Basic knife skills and understanding of kitchen equipment
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Strong attention to detail and consistency
- Ability to follow directions and recipes precisely
- Dependable, punctual, and professional attitude
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Flexible scheduling available based on business needs

Pay rate: $20.00 to $23.00 per hour. Pay may vary depending on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
