Founded in 1964, this 219‑bed acute‑care hospital provides high‑quality, compassionate healthcare. Key services include general medical and surgical inpatient care, emergency services, surgical services, behavioral health, a comprehensive heart center, and diagnostic imaging.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in the Subacute setting, following the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Direct and guide patient/family teaching and teach other nursing personnel, maintaining standards of professional nursing care in the Subacute Unit.
- Communicate with physicians, the Director of Nursing, Charge RN, and co‑workers about changes in patients’ clinical condition, cardiac and respiratory monitoring, diagnostic study results, and symptomatology.
- Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or treatment responses.
- Work with other departments to provide quality patient care across the continuum, efficient patient flow, unit maintenance, and organization.
- Adhere to regulations, standards, hospital and unit policies and procedures.
- Participate in performance improvement activities, unit meetings, and in‑services.
- Act as a resource for other personnel as appropriate.
- Current and CA state Registered Nurse license.
- Current BLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintained thereafter.
- Current ACLS (AHA) certificate preferred.
- Six months experience in an acute‑care hospital or long‑term care/subacute setting preferred.
Competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package. Compensation range: $48.58 – $65.31 per hour. Final salary determined at hire based on skill set, experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
