This is a dynamic, collaborative role that interfaces with Engineering, Quality, and Production to ensure superior product quality and continuous improvement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform RMA evaluations to diagnose and document root causes of detector issues.
  • Conduct minor repairs and component replacements as authorized.
  • Perform product conversions, calibrations, lab tests, and thermo cycle testing per work orders.
  • Identify issues, deviations from specs, or failures; escalates and documents properly.
  • Assist in minimal to moderate equipment repairs or adjustments under supervision.
  • Ensure adherence to SOPs, safety protocols, and production guidelines.
  • Complete RMA paperwork, batch records, equipment logs, and production reports.
  • Provide daily and weekly metric updates to the Production Manager, including achieved goals and reasons for unmet goals.
  • Record anomalies, unusual values, and escalated out-of-spec results as instructed.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Customer Service on findings and process feedback.
  • Inspect tools, stations, and equipment at the start of each shift.
  • Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of workstation and production equipment.
  • Ensure proper use of PPE and maintain a clean, hazard‑free environment.
  • Participate in collecting and analyzing data to improve work instructions and documentation.
  • Capture visual evidence (images/videos) of production findings for future enhancements.
  • Contribute to team discussions on process efficiency, product quality, and operational improvements.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications / Experience Required
  • BS/BA in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.
  • Education or certification in the industry highly desired.
  • 2-3 years of production technician experience in electronics manufacturing.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, ERP, SAP, MRP, and SaaS.
  • Knowledge of test equipment and relevant technical software.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong knowledge of electronic components, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Skilled in soldering, troubleshooting, and using diagnostic/test equipment.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical problem‑solving abilities.
  • High attention to quality standards and compliance in an ISO
    9001‑regulated environment.
  • Effective communication and documentation skills.
  • Reliable decision‑making and technical judgment.
  • Adaptable to changing production requirements and process improvements.
Working Conditions

Work is generally performed in a temperature‑controlled warehouse/production environment with exposure to tools and electronic equipment. The role may require prolonged standing, use of hand tools or machinery, and routine movement around the production floor.

Visual precision for inspecting parts and components; lift and move objects approximately 20‑30 lbs; require wearing PPE (ESD gear, smocks, safety glasses, etc.). Regular schedule is Monday‑Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
