5-Axis Machinist and Mastercam Programmer for Aerospace

We are seeking an experienced Machinist and Mastercam Programmer with a strong background in CNC machine setup and operation. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of hands‑on experience and involves Mastercam programming, fixture and setup design, and operation of Haas equipment in a dynamic, team‑focused aerospace manufacturing environment.

This position focuses exclusively on machining aerospace components and weldments — not mold‑making or plastics.

• Create efficient Mastercam programs for milling, turning, and 5‑axis machining operations
• Design and implement work holding fixtures and setup processes
• Set up and operate Haas vertical mills, CNC lathes, and UM 5‑axis machining centers
• Utilize Renishaw probing systems for precision setup and in‑process verification
• Work from engineering drawings, 3D CAD models, and setup sheets to produce precision aerospace parts
• Machine aerospace‑grade materials including aluminum, stainless steel, Inconel, and other high‑performance alloys
• Work with weldments and complex assemblies as part of the machining process
• Use and interpret precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and edge finders
• Troubleshoot and make manual adjustments to ensure tight tolerances are maintained
• Collaborate closely with engineering, quality, and production teams
• Maintain a clean and organized work area

• Minimum 5 years of experience in CNC machining and Mastercam programming
• Proficient with Mastercam 2025 (certification is a plus)
• Proficient with Solid Works 2025
• Strong experience machining aerospace components, weldments, and alloys
• Not focused on molds, tool‑and‑die, or plastic parts
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
• Team‑oriented with excellent communication and collaboration abilities
