Operations Manager, Program / Project Manager
The Enhancement Manager recommends, bids, estimates, sells, manages and coordinates the installation of all plant materials and irrigation modifications for the Landscape Maintenance Division. The Associate works closely with the Director, Account Managers and Production Managers to ensure the division is exceeding client expectations as it relates to contracted work.
On a daily basis the Enhancement Manager oversees the enhancement process including, but not limited to:
Associate training and safety, material installation, quality assurance, scheduling and supervising installation crews, coordinating subcontractors, ordering and staging job materials, job costing, financial results, and scheduling turnover walks with clients and Account Managers.
The Enhancement Manager works to ensure all company policies and procedures are followed throughout the extra work process, which entails work beyond landscaping and enhancement responsibilities such as estimating and bidding. The Enhancement Manager participates in all division operations and management meetings.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Estimating, Bidding and Selling: The Enhancement Manager is responsible for the preparation, review, and presentation of enhancement and extra work proposals. Following established standard operating procedures and guidelines the Enhancement Manager works with the Director and Account Manager to gather quotes from vendor, bids from subcontractors and current pricing to ensure the accuracy of proposals for enhancement and extra work. The manager is expected to meet all deadlines and RFP specifications with exactness.
The manager will participate with the team in presenting enhancement and extra work proposals to clients including: HOA boards, facility engineers, property managers and others that may request enhancement or extra work proposals.
Field Associate Management: Monitors and manages productivity of crews and works closely with operations staff regarding scheduling, quality and client service. Assures all contracted services provided are of good quality and completed efficiently and within budget. Communicates to appropriate parties any problem areas and works to find immediate resolution and makes recommendations as necessary. Regularly conducts field Associate training ensuring installations are delivered in a manner consistent with contract specifications and company standards.
Regularly conducts company safety meetings, safety tailgate meetings, and reviews field Associate compliance with company PPE, Injury and Illness Prevention Program and Heat Illness Prevention Program. Additionally, the Enhancement Manager is an example of the company CREDO and the company’s Safety Values. Responsible for timekeeping management of field Associates including verifying time records for accuracy for both pay and job costing, managing time off requests, and facilitating Associate Status Changes to Human Resources and Payroll.
Annually conducts performance reviews of all direct reports and recommends, on a timely basis, pay increases and other compensation within company guidelines.
Operations Management: Plans, directs, organizes and schedules the day to day activity for the landscape maintenance division’s enhancement work or extra work. Proactively manages installation projects by inspecting site during the installation process and anticipating the needs of his/her foremen and crews. Coordinates monthly installation schedules and crew assignments to meet client needs and requests. Develops strong, positive client relationships through effective, timely and professional communications in oral and written form.
Additionally, provides regular feedback to clients on installation progress in order to maximize client retention including attending homeowners’ association meetings as needed or when requested. Works with the Director to ensure timely completion of turnover walks. Meets division guidelines for client files, reports and other documentation.
