Job Title:
Clinical Laboratory Scientist
- Perform and report test results for all clinical laboratory procedures as assigned, both automated and manual, without immediate review by the director, consultant, or supervisory team.
- Demonstrate proficiency, competency, and understanding of fundamental principles of clinical laboratory procedures with minimal supervision.
- Monitor and be accountable for test data, quality control, quality assurance, preventive maintenance, proficiency testing, and all operations related to laboratory testing procedures.
- Notify the supervisory team of any irregularities or factors that may influence test results.
- Troubleshoot equipment and test methods as needed.
- Monitor supplies and reagents and notify appropriate parties of par levels.
- Perform clerical or other duties of support staff/laboratory assistants as assigned, such as performing phlebotomy on inpatients and outpatients.
- Proficiency in phlebotomy and specimen processing.
- Experience with both automated and manual testing.
- Possession of a Clinical Laboratory Scientist License (California).
Skills & Qualifications
- Ideally hold a Generalist License.
- High School Education or General Education Development (GED) is required.
This position requires availability for 12-hour shifts, including weekends, as it is an on-call position created due to higher volume and the need for more coverage. Candidates must be available for potential dates from 2/1-2/7, 2/8-2/14, and 2/15-2/21, with a primary focus on Week
1. Professional attire or scrubs are required, and hours will vary across all shifts.
This is a Contract position based out of Anaheim, CA.
Pay and Benefits- The pay range for this position is $150.00 – $150.00/hr.
