OverviewThis role involves acting as the Owner’s Technical Representative on projects at our Entertainment Client’s Resort and related properties. The engineer will oversee design, construction, and compliance activities, ensuring adherence to engineering standards and codes. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to high-profile entertainment infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities- Act as Owner’s Technical Representative from project concept through sustainment.
- Witness signing and sealing of construction documents as needed.
- Provide engineering guidance based on DMGS and other design standards.
- Manage design and development of contract documents with internal and external resources.
- Coordinate design activities, monitor field installations, and ensure compliance with specifications and codes.
- Develop concept designs and Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
- Review drawings, calculations, and specifications for code compliance.
- Conduct site visits to resolve issues and minimize schedule impacts.
- Enforce DMGS and related engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop and maintain design standards and guidelines.
- Assist project and design managers in resolving compliance issues and validating installations.
- Current, valid CA Professional Engineer (PE) license in Electrical Engineering.
- 8+ years of electrical engineering experience, emphasizing design, calculations, and construction support.
- Proven experience in commercial and industrial electrical engineering projects.
- In-depth knowledge of California Electrical Code, IEEE standards, and Title 24 Energy Codes.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Lighting design.
- Strong collaboration skills and team engagement.
- Ability to review and respond to vendor RFIs and shop drawings.
- Experience with site visits and resolving field issues.
- Knowledge of engineering best practices and safety standards.
- Experience with project management and coordination across multiple disciplines.
- Familiarity with Amusement Park/Resort infrastructure and project environment.
- Ability to develop and review concept designs and RFPs.
