Accounting Supervisor - Mortgage Loan Servicing

Pay rate:$130,000 - $160,000 Annually

Position Summary:

The accounting supervisor must show a high level of integrity, professionalism, accuracy, and discretion. This position will have access to sensitive information, and it is important that the information remain confidential.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • General ledger maintenance, journal entries, and account reconciliations for multiple accounts and entities
  • Manage month-end and year-end closings
  • Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with GAAP/IFRS
  • Lead internal and external audit preparations and respond to auditor inquires
  • Strengthen internal controls and process efficiency
  • Manage and perform account payable duties including invoice processing, vendor management, and payment runs
  • Accurately and efficiently record accounting transactions
  • Ensuring month-end, quarter-end, and year-end deadlines are met with a high level of accuracy
  • Supervise junior accounting staff to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects

Education and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance, or related field required (CPA preferred)
  • 5+ years of accounting experience required
  • Strong organizational, time management, and analytical skills
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and audit practices
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and leadership skills
  • Analyze financial reports and prepare accounting reports
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines as assigned
  • SAGE, Quick Books, Net Suite accounting software is a plus
