Accounting Supervisor - Mortgage Loan Servicing

Pay rate:$130,000 - $160,000 Annually
Position Summary:
The accounting supervisor must show a high level of integrity, professionalism, accuracy, and discretion. This position will have access to sensitive information, and it is important that the information remain confidential.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- General ledger maintenance, journal entries, and account reconciliations for multiple accounts and entities
- Manage month-end and year-end closings
- Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with GAAP/IFRS
- Lead internal and external audit preparations and respond to auditor inquires
- Strengthen internal controls and process efficiency
- Manage and perform account payable duties including invoice processing, vendor management, and payment runs
- Accurately and efficiently record accounting transactions
- Ensuring month-end, quarter-end, and year-end deadlines are met with a high level of accuracy
- Supervise junior accounting staff to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Assist with ad-hoc projects
Education and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance, or related field required (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of accounting experience required
- Strong organizational, time management, and analytical skills
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and audit practices
- Ability to multi-task and work independently
- Excellent verbal and written communication and leadership skills
- Analyze financial reports and prepare accounting reports
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines as assigned
- SAGE, Quick Books, Net Suite accounting software is a plus
