Sr. Accounting Manager

We’re partnering with a growing, vertically integrated organization to hire a Senior Accounting Manager who will take ownership of the accounting function following a recent leadership transition. This is a highly visible role with meaningful scope — ideal for someone who enjoys building structure, owning the close, improving systems, and operating hands-on in a dynamic environment.

This role will lead month-end close execution and process design, manage multi-entity accounting, support ERP/system initiatives, and ensure strong GAAP compliance in a manufacturing-driven business.

• Lead the full month-end close across multiple legal entities — both executing and continuously improving the close process
• Design and maintain close calendars, checklists, SOPs, and review controls
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, intercompany transactions, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Ensure accurate GAAP accounting and clean audit-ready documentation
• Manage consolidations, intercompany eliminations, and entity-level reporting
• Partner closely with operations and manufacturing leadership on inventory, cost accounting, and margin analysis
• Lead or support ERP / system implementations, upgrades, and process automation initiatives
• Identify and remediate legacy accounting issues, reconciliation gaps, and process inefficiencies
• Strengthen internal controls, documentation, and reporting discipline
• Support external audits, tax filings, and ad hoc financial projects
• Serve as a hands-on leader and subject-matter expert within a lean accounting organization

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or Master’s preferred
• 7–12+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Demonstrated ownership of month-end close (execution + process design)
• Strong multi-entity accounting and consolidation experience
• Manufacturing or product-based business experience (inventory, cost accounting, operational accounting)
• Experience leading or heavily participating in ERP or accounting system implementations
• Advanced Excel skills (reconciliations, pivots, lookups, data analysis)
• Comfortable operating in a hands-on, fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
• Ability to work independently while partnering cross-functionally with leadership and operations
• Strong process orientation and continuous improvement mindset
