Vice President​/Controller

CV Resources is partnering with a large construction client in search for a VP, Controller to join their team.

The role will lead all accounting operations for a large, multi-division, high-volume construction company with complex job costing and project accounting. This role owns financial close, job cost/WIP reporting, financial controls, audit, and systems, and partners closely with Operations and Executive Leadership.

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close for a multi-entity, high-volume environment
• Oversee all accounting functions: GL, AP, AR, payroll, fixed assets, and project accounting
• Own job cost accounting, WIP, percentage-of-completion, cost-to-complete, and margin forecasting
• Partner with Operations and Project leadership to ensure accurate project financials
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP, bonding, and lender requirements
• Serve as executive lead for audits, bonding reviews, and bank reporting
• Lead and scale the accounting organization and drive process improvements
• Executive sponsor for ERP systems and financial systems optimization

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Big 4 public accounting experience required
• CPA highly preferred
• 15+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Experience in large, multi-division construction companies required
• Proven leadership in high-volume, job cost-driven organizations
• Strong expertise in job cost, WIP, ASC 606, and multi-entity accounting
• Experience with construction ERPs
• Strong leadership, executive presence, and cross-functional communication skills
