Para Educator or CBT – School Position - 5 Days Per Week;
Full Time | Anacortes, WA | Remainder of the  School Year | Start ASAP!

Ampersand Therapy is seeking dedicated para educators to join our team for the rest of the 2025–2026 school year in Anacortes, Washington. We are seeking an experienced para educator with current NPI, Right Response, or equivalent training.

Job Highlights

  • Schedule:

    M,T,Th,F from 8:00 to 3:00 and 8:00 to 2:00 on Wednesdays.
  • Setting:
    In-person working with students that have behavioral needs
  • Start Date:

    ASAP for the remainder of the 25-26 school year
Responsibilities
  • Support students with personal care if needed
  • Assist with student transitions, transportation, supervision (lunch, recess, bus, assemblies), and classroom coverage when the teacher is absent.
  • Provide support for students with significant behavioral or emotional needs, including implementing behavior management strategies.
  • Be willing/able to support and/or lead in physical restraint protocol if needed
  • Assist with instruction (small/large groups, vocational programs), IEP preparation, assessments, and monitoring due process timelines under teacher direction.
  • Prepare and organize instructional materials, maintain student records/files, and use technology for data entry, reports, and assistive devices.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support students, teachers, and educational planning.
Qualifications
  • Must have current Right Response, Safety Care, or CPI training
  • Must have experience working with students that have behavioral needs
  • Must currently have a secondary school (high school) diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Must fulfill one of the three following requirements:

1) Complete at least two years of study at an institution of higher education; or
2) Obtain an associate (or higher) degree; or
3) Pass a state-approved para educator assessment, such as the ETS Para Pro test with a score of 455 or higher
