Utilizing DFA tractor and trailer, to transport raw milk from depot to processing plant

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Operates a commercial motor vehicle in compliance with DOT and DFA rules, regulations and policies adhering to all safety practices

* Following dispatch schedule and directions from dispatch and location supervisory personnel, travels to location to transport raw milk

* Takes measures to minimize truck idle times and conserve fuel consumption

* Verify proper documentation (Load number/Seal numbers/etc.) to validate load delivery and destination.

* Disassemble, clean, and re-assemble trailer pumps to maintain proper cleanliness at a food grade level.

* Always represents DFA positively and professionally during interactions with customers, or regulatory personnel

Education and Experience

* High School Diploma or GED or equivalent Preferred

* Must have a current CDL (Class

A) in state of residence.

* Must have, or be able to obtain, a tanker endorsement.

* Minimum of 1-year verifiable CDL driving experience (military experience does count towards this requirement)

* In lieu of 1-year verifiable driving experience, driver applicants may have successfully graduated from a FMCSA Entry-Level Driver Training certified driving school.

* Must be at least 21 years of age.

* Must meet all DOT requirements.

Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities

* Knowledge of DOT procedures, rules, and requirements

* Ability to communicate effectively in the English language both orally and in writing

* Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)

* Ability to read and record accurate volume and weight measurement

* Good organization and record keeping skills

* Punctuality
