The ambitions
Handlangers currently employs 30 staff in Ghent, Belgium. In Amsterdam, we have 2 Account Managers. Our ambition is to expand the agency in Amsterdam through Megalomaan (under the Handlangers brand), following the example set in Ghent.
The job
As a business development manager, you are responsible for developing the Handlangers customer portfolio. You are accountable for bringing in new business and creating sustainable relationships with potential customers that can benefit from Inbound Marketing Automation and Account Based Marketing demand generation campaigns.
Your mission at Handlangers
Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive prospecting and lead generation efforts
Understand our ICP (ideal customer profile) and develop the business development activities accordingly
You take care of the first introduction of our agency to potential customers
Build and maintain relationships with prospective clients, understanding their unique needs and offering tailored solutions
Collaborate with the strategic and creative teams to develop compelling proposals and presentations that showcase the agency's capabilities
Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation
Represent the agency at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance agency brand visibility and generate leads
You’re the link between our new customer and your fellow Handlangers
You’re the first point of contact for new customers. You detect the needs and work together with your colleagues to create tailor-made solutions
Your talents & characteristics
You feel at home in an online and offline environment
You’re good at managing different tasks at the same time, varying in size and subject
You excel in connecting with potential customers and you meet their expectations
You are an expert in using Linked In Sales Navigator for prospecting purposes
Problem solving is one of your fortes: you’re proactive, you detect potential pitfalls and you take action
Your organization, communication and time management skills are excellent
You’re a practical thinker with a hands-on attitude
You’re alert and you keep your eyes and ears open for new opportunities
You’re looking for a young, flexible, visionary and rapidly growing environment that believes in people and gives you the opportunity to prove yourself
Your skills & experience
You know marketing and communication inside out
You have excellent sales and presentation skills
You are not afraid to pick up the telephone to convince a potential customer to an introductory meeting
You have experience in a sales or marketing agency. You have successfully contributed to relevant cases
You are fluent in Dutch and you can express yourself in English
Knowing your way around office software and management tools is a given
